Despite some time ago being an English learner just like you, it's been a long time that I have sincerely stopped considering it as a foreign language. Having studied English primarily on my own I managed to make myself indistinguishable from a native speaker, which is at the same time not a subjective opinion, and also something I would be glad and ready to prove to you. There is a number of reasons that, despite my young age, allow me to assert my competence as English teacher: - Firstly, I am well acquainted with the scientific literature on the subjects of cognitive psychology, language learning and teaching. Which, coupled with a sufficient amount of experience gives me a possibility of easily modifying my approach to everyone individually based on their personal preferences and wishes, as well as strong and weak sides. - Secondly, being both self-taught and a perfectionist means I have spent a great deal of time figuring out the most efficient way of studying (e.g. French to C1 in 4 months). That said, I can offer my assistance in structuring your entire approach to learning in a way that would help you achieve your goals as fast as possible with the minimum amount of effort. - Thirdly, being once an English learner myself and now having native speaker language abilities gives me an advantage as a teacher over those who were born speaking it, since I can better relate to your struggles and more accurately identify their main sources. I really hope you don't let some possible prejudices against the young age cloud your, otherwise justly impartial opinion of me as a tutor, and rather base it on the experience you will have during our trial lesson.
